Bahamas visa requirements for Indians: overview
Indian passport holders need a visa for The Bahamas unless they already hold a valid visa for, or permanent residence in, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada or a Schengen country.
When you do not need a visa
You can enter without a visa if you hold one of the following:
- A valid visa for the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada or a Schengen country.
- Permanent resident status in one of those countries.
- A diplomatic or official Indian passport.

How to apply
- Check whether you are exempt because of an existing US, UK, Canadian or Schengen visa.
- If not, apply through the Bahamas eVisa portal (evisa.mofa.gov.bs) or at the nearest Bahamas embassy or consulate, where applicants must appear in person.
- Pay the visa fee and submit your supporting documents.
- Apply at least two weeks before you travel.
