Chile Visa Guide

Indian passport holders need a visa for Chile unless they hold a valid US visa or Green Card. With a qualifying US visa you can visit for up to 90 days without a Chilean visa. Otherwise, apply for a tourist visa through the Chilean consulate for your state.

Do Indians need a visa for Chile?

Indian passport holders need a visa for Chile unless they hold a valid US visa or Green Card. With a qualifying US visa you can visit for up to 90 days without a Chilean visa. Otherwise, apply for a tourist visa through the Chilean consulate for your state.

When you do not need a visa

You can enter without a visa if you hold one of the following:

  • A US visa of any type except a type C (transit) visa, valid for at least six months when you arrive in Chile
  • A US Green Card

The exemption allows a stay of up to 90 days. You must be able to show sufficient funds for your stay.

Documents required

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months, with blank pages
  • Completed visa application
  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • Confirmed return or onward ticket
  • Hotel booking or address of stay
  • Recent bank statements showing funds for the trip

The Consular Section in New Delhi covers Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Chandigarh, Lakshadweep, Sikkim and the north-eastern states.
