Documents required

  • Passport valid for at least three months after you plan to leave the Schengen Area, issued within the previous 10 years
  • Travel medical insurance covering the Schengen Area

  • Supporting documents for the purpose of your trip

How to apply

Book an appointment at a VFS Global centre for Iceland. Centres include New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Cochin, Goa and Pune.

Submit your application and original documents. VFS checks them, takes your photo and collects fingerprints if needed.

Pay the visa fee and the VFS service fee.

Allow at least 15 days plus transfer time before you travel.

Generally 15 days, not counting transfer between VFS and the Embassy; it can take longer if more documents or consultation with Iceland’s Directorate of Immigration are needed.
